Album Review: 'Resurrection' - New Found Glory

BY: Bethany Zaccaria

We all know them, and we all love them. After forming in 1997, the famous pop-punk/alternative band New Found Glory is still going strong with their newest album, Resurrection. After releasing Resurrection on October 7, 2014, as their 8th studio album, for their first time with Hopeless Records, the band has done it again. The album as a whole appeals directly to your emotions. In listening, you become mesmerized in songs, such as "Angel," and they make you want to jam out in your car to songs, such as "Living Hell." You also can't forget that Anthony Raneri of Bayside is featured in the song "Stubborn." The optimum part is that Resurrection still holds the same unique New Found Glory sound that we admire. This album definitely deserves a listen.

1. "Selfless"
2. "Resurrection" (featuring Scott Vogel of Terror)
3. "The Worst Person"
4. "Ready and Willing"
5. "One More Round"
6. "Vicious Love"
7. "Persistent"
8. "Stories of a Different Kind"
9. "Degenerate"
10. "Angel"
11. "Stubborn" (featuring Anthony Raneri of Bayside)

Concert Review: No Outlet at The Grape Room

BY: Liza Boodhansingh

No Outlet, pop-punk band from Philly, performed on Friday, November 28, at The Grape Room in Manayunk, PA. No Outlet have been releasing new songs via Soundcloud and played plenty of the new, as well as old favorites. I enjoyed hearing their old songs, such as "At Your Funeral (Forever Lost)" and "On My Own." It wouldn't be a proper No Outlet show without throwing in some cover songs, including "A Praise Chorus" by Jimmy Eat World and "Dammit" by Blink-182, for those unfamiliar with the band. They jammed out to many new songs, including "Let It Go" and "Charlie, We're Gonna Make It Out Alive." The songs have a fresh new sound, while still holding onto the old No Outlet feel. No Outlet made sure to entertain the crowd, as always, with their frequent banter between songs.

No Outlet will be playing a few shows at the end of December and early January. Dates are below.

12/27 - Philadelphia, PA - North Star Bar
12/29 - Philadelphia, PA - Chill Collins Art Space
1/03 - Wilmington, DE - Mojo 13

If you're in the area, make sure to come out to one of the shows and check out No Outlet. They will not disappoint!
